Clinical Knowledge, Warm Hands
I qualified as a nurse in 2009 and spent over a decade working within general medicine in the hospital setting, before moving into district nursing in more recent years.
I'm not sure whether it was a midlife crisis or simply finding the confidence to believe in myself and follow another passion, but I decided to retrain in massage therapy — and I'm so glad I did. I'm proud to have achieved the highest level of Swedish massage qualification in the UK, with my training being credit-rated by the University of the West of Scotland. I passed this course with Distinction, reflecting the high level of knowledge and practical skill behind every treatment… you are in safe hands.
Bringing together my nursing background and massage therapy allows me to provide treatments that are not only deeply relaxing, but also grounded in clinical knowledge, professional experience and genuine care.
As a registered nurse, I am regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and I am a member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). I am also a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) as a qualified massage therapist. These professional memberships reflect my commitment to maintaining high standards of practice, professionalism and client care.
Outside the treatment room
You'll usually find me playing taxi for the boys, enjoying a gym class (after it's done!) or having a wee glass of blush wine… not necessarily in that order.
